The nine Avant-Garde presented are progressed through four different stages of the cycle: childhood, adolescence, adulthood and the reproductive stage and maturity. Linking with the life cycle of humans and bamboo tree, the designs are developed to symbolically represent quality and behavior of each stage.
First the tenderness and vulnerability of the early stages merge into the playful adolescence stage which approach the rigid, elegant and strong mature stage of the life cycle. The process ends after opening the door to another circle of life representing rebirth and hope for a new life.
The second stage of maturity, is slightly advanced protecting its nature and origin. Enhancing the elegance and beauty, rigid cross cuts, mesh layers radiates masculinity and loudness. The petal structure is inspired from the bamboo sheath to show it’s self-protection in its mature stage. Play of petals during the act shows the elegance and the beauty of Bamboo Blooming. Bamboo cull structure and it’s movements show the natural form of a bamboo bush which is stable as well as flexible
